Started by the anti-crime advocacy group, TakeBack New York, ParoleWatch will be national in scope, and will provide information on inmates in all 50 states. In its first phase, ParoleWatch will focus (though not exclusively) on creating a user-friendly Internet database of Y cases. With our NY database as the prototype, we will then launch databases for other states.

We do have plans for putting the Business Registry system on the Web, but a major re-platforming project has to take place first before that's technically feasible. Consequently, we don't expect to have searching capabilities on the Web until next year at the earliest.

The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission requires alcoholic beverage manufacturers, distributors, retailers, etc. to apply for licenses and permits before they may operate in the State of Texas. The TABC currently provides some information regarding licenses/permits to the public in various formats such as 8 1/2" X 11" printouts, PC disks, mailing labels and 3480 tapes for a fee. This information is updated on out web site on a monthly basis and is avaliable through the internet for free.
